Egypt was, and is still acknowledged as the home of knowledge. It was the birth place of art and science; the paradise of the merchants from all over the world. The westerners traveled to Egypt and acquired knowledge with great pain. The Greeks especially, knew the power of knowledge and they sought after it at all cost.
Name the great men of knowledge that the world knows and I’ll narrate their connection with Egypt and other great kingdoms of ancient. But such men – Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Democritus, Pythagoras etc. – did not remain in the foreign land. They returned at once to apply their acquired knowledge and develop their own people.
“Greece owes everything they have to Egypt.” This is a statement made by a Greek historian, Herodotus “Father of History.”
“What you call western education today is African education taken to the west and modified.” –From the book, (Africa: mother of western civilization).
It is wise to go and acquire knowledge and skill where they abound; it is wiser to use these knowledge and skill for the development of one’s own people. “Men will travel and knowledge will increase.” Job 12:28. It is evident in every department of nature that we take from where there is abundance to add to where there is scarcity. If we continue increasing human resources where it’s in abundance already, we will be expanding the gap between Africa and the west.
If the westerner who traveled to Egypt and other great kingdoms stayed behind to savour the richness of those kingdoms, the west will probably remain underdeveloped and there will be nothing like western civilization.
Today, we judge our fathers for the educational degradation that caused our exodus to the west; tomorrow, our children will judge us for settling in foreign land; they will judge us for our inability to right the wrong of our fathers; they will ask us why we left things scattered when it’s within our power to lay them straight.
I speak to you my fellow Africans in diaspora; learn all that makes Europe and America great; know what they know and, come back home let us achieve, through them, what they achieved through us.
Dedicated to Modupe Debbie Ariyo, Olanike Adebayo, Mykell Abu and everybody that left the shores of Africa on a quest for mental/intellectual development. You promise to return soon. We await your glorious home coming.

FINAL EMANCIPATION OF BLACK PEOPLE
By Rolland Nwanua
We have fought against slavery, we overcame; we fought against colonialism, we overcame; we fought against segregation, we overcame; now it’s time for one more struggle. This struggle will lead to the final emancipation of the Black people.
Unlike the previous struggles of the Black people, this one will be silent, it will be principally among us, and it will take place within every individual and will sweep across all Black countries and all continents.
“As much as we have external enemies to fight and overcome,
the greatest enemy we must conquer is ourselves.”
- Kenneth Kaunda
(Former president of Zaire – now DRC).
When slavery, colonialism, segregation and every form of oppression of the Black people were gone, they left an element behind which was born of them. It’s a personality trait that psychology calls inferiority complex. When inferiority complex goes beyond an individual and affects an entire society it is called social cringe.
This trait is hidden and destroys silently. Its elimination must also be silent and persistent.
In my inquiry into the problems and backwardness of the Black people, after years of research and contemplation, I arrived at a point where the answer presented itself before me. It’s the trait; it’s inferiority complex; this is the psychogenesis of the backwardness of Black people.
The tedious research of George G. M. James also presents an answer
that tallies with mine. He wrote in his book Stolen Legacy, “both groups(White and Black) have been the common victims of miseducation about
the African Continent and it has caused them to develop attitudes according to their common believe: The White people, a superiority complex; and the Black people, the corresponding inferiority complex.”
It has to be established that Africa has made a great contribution to world civilization. There has been a misconception and miseducation on this issue. African scholars are working tirelessly to set out some tactics by which a reformation can be made so that the African Continent can have redemption and stand side by side with the rest of the world.
Another struggle is on; final emancipation of the Black people. When mental emancipation must have taken place, the people will be free indeed. Brace yourself. This will take generations and centuries but entertain no fear. It is just and worthy. Therefore, let the fire in you burn continuously until we reestablish the Glory of the Black people.
We bear no grudge against our White brothers, rather, we call on them to join us in bringing Africa back to her Glory, so that when many nations of the world are great, the world as a whole may be called a great world.

History has recorded how men of great minds come together
to navigate the course of mankind in times of trouble.
Men have resolved great difficulties,
some have dedicated their lives to the advancement of civilization,
some have given up their lives for mankind.
It is evident in every department of nature
that where there is scarcity, provision is made.
Out of necessity, Generation of Domination is born.
Once again, history will have to record that,
at a time in the existence of man,
some great minds came together to lay foundation for a new civilization.
Refusing to live with the predicaments that confronts them,
they search within for the way out.
For divine assistance, they cry out to the heavens.
Generation of Domination…
A new race has been born….

Africa educated Europe.
Now Europe is educating Africa.
How did the first come to be the last?
Where did things go wrong?
Where did we fall?
If we can recognize where we fell,
How we fell,
And why we fell,
Perhaps we could find how to rise again.
Let’s go back to the past.
From there we can control the future.
The key to unlock the future lies in the subconscious of the past.

Until about 332 BC, the great land of Africa had her glory shinning so bright. It was the light by which the world could see. Men traveled from all over the world to learn the secret of their success.
Every traveler who visited this land had sweet story to tell, the merchant who traveled to this land left with great riches and, every man who sought knowledge, reaching this land, would return to his homeland a great man of knowledge.
Now this glory has become dim. And the entire land has fallen into depression.
Several centuries have passed and, this land that once reigned in great splendor keeps sinking and sinking. For this reason, some thinkers came together to redirect the destiny of their cherished land.
In order to do this, they founded a movement by which to gather men and women that will embark on the great mission of finding the LOST GLORY.
Generation of Domination…
We live to redeem the LOST GLORY of Africa.

For the lost glory that we seek to rediscover;
For the honour that we hunger for;
For the immortality that we crave;
This fire will not be put out.
For the Black people whose course we fight;
For the tears in their eyes;
For the lamentation on their lips;
This fire will not be put out.
I shall fan the flame with all the energy in me.
I shall fuel it with my blood.
If the heavens will require from us a sacrifice,
I shall lay myself on the alter.
This fire must not be put out.

SHE WAS CALLED A GIANT
By Rolland Nwanua
The strangers,
One after the other they came;
Arabians,
Persians,
Greeks,
Portuguese,
Spanish,
French,
British;
Over and over they conquered her;
Militarily,
Missionarily,
Intellectually,
They penetrated;
Continuously they shoot their poisonous arrows into her heart.
Bit by bit her energy dropped.
Her eyes became dim,
Her head bent in weakness,
Her shoulders dropped,
Her knees were too weak,
They could no longer sustain her weight.
She fell.
First on one knee,
Then the other.
Because she’s too large to fall flat,
With her last strength she maintained her balance on her knees.
For how long will she remain down?
It remains uncertain.
But by her very name, GIANT, she must one day pull herself up to her feet again.
